RX 5500XT or GTX1660 ?

Hi all! I've been away from f@h for many years and now have decided to jump back in.
I haven't kept up with the latest development. Which of these 2 GPUs are better for folding under Windows 10 - in terms of PPD and minimum fuss?
Are AMD GPUs still having driver issues or issues with fahcores?
And does VRAM matter? 4GB vs 8GB for the 5500XT?

The gtx looks to be the quicker card.

- The GTX1660 will be the better folder of the two from what I have seen.
- I don't believe it was a driver level issue to begin with and was just an incompatibility with core21 and the Navi architecture, but I could be wrong there.
- In any case, the Navi based cards do not work with core21 projects but are working great with the projects on core22.
- Navi has been supported in beta since before the end of 2019 and many of the COVID-19 related core22 projects have been pushed publicly and to "advanced" clients.
- While core22 does have a decent amount of projects available, the GTX1660 will also have access to the core21 projects unlike the 5500 XT.
- 4GB VRAM should not be an issue for folding, but 8GB will certainly provide better results for gaming and is more future proof.

Okay I've gone with a budget Inno3D GTX1660 Twin X2 for around $170. It's a no-frills card, but does the job very well.
For anyone looking to get one, depending on the project I'm getting anywhere between 480k-630k PPD, mostly around 550k.
GPU-Z says power consumption is around 100W.
Max GPU temp I've seen is 71C at around 66% fan speed which I think is very good considering the heavy load put on it.
I'd say this is excellent performance for the money.

What would you say is the average frequency the card is running at across various projects? Do you see some projects pushing the clocks down a bit due to the load and others clocking higher or are the clocks staying pretty level?
