Hi all,

I've been waiting for days but folding does not start.
I'm always getting assigned a work unit whose network is unreachable.

Any hints?

Thanks, Alex

The server and network responses are from the servers redirecting a request they can not fill. GPU folding is not supported on the macOS, just Linux and Windows. You can contribute through CPU folding. The redirect in a planned revision of the client would have been able to give an appropriate message about the reason.

As best as I can tell, all the Tonga based GPU's can be used for folding if your system was booted into a Linux or Windows install. On the macOS you can still contribute using CPU folding.

Please remove the GPU slot you created in the folding client.

Ok, thanks. I'll try this again. It was actually configured to use CPU in the first place.
When it did not work, I changed to GPU.

Now looks like this:

19:06:49:WU00:FS01:Connecting to 65.254.110.245:8080
19:06:50:WARNING:WU00:FS01:Failed to get assignment from '65.254.110.245:8080': No WUs available for this configuration
19:06:50:WU00:FS01:Connecting to 18.218.241.186:80
19:06:51:WARNING:WU00:FS01:Failed to get assignment from '18.218.241.186:80': No WUs available for this configuration
19:06:51:ERROR:WU00:FS01:Exception: Could not get an assignment

and that is normal for now. Basically the number of persons participating grew from about 30,000 to around 400,00 in s avery short time period. There are more servers being added, but for now they are sending out WUs as fast as possible, currently a bit over 100,000 an hour.
