It is not normal, but neither is the load on the servers. Please be patient, the team are trying to bring more servers online as fast as possible.

Are you using Task Manager? Others have posted that to get the GPU utilization you have to look at the CUDA load in that tool. Another option is a third party monitoring tool such as GPU-Z.

yes i was looking at the task manager

gpu-z is reporting 84-99% so that looks fine.

not sure what you mean by CUDA load in that tool ?

CUDA is the computing software used under the hood. In GPU-Z, it's labeled "GPU Load". 84-99% is fine, looks like its working properly.

This error message is common at the moment. There has been a very rapid growth of number of new users that has led to high load on the F@h servers and an exhaustion of the workunits available in the queue. They are currently working on getting more servers online and more projects in the queue. I'd recommend keeping the software online so that it can pick up workunits when they become available.

Sorry for my post. Being a long time folder I thought it was just another issue off servers needing to be rebooted as happens in the past.

I've been reading the forum and saw that the number of folders has almost doubled in a week!
That's aweome! I hope more servers can come online quickly to get wU's out the door to this awesome twice as powerful network of computers !

Good job folders!
Thanks for joining us long terrm folders!

PS - don't go away after COVID-19 - There are lot's of issues that the scientists need our excess computer power for!
