CPU being used but not GPU

Hi all

I have decided to get my works pc doing its part in the cause, its not the most modern pc but has a Quadro GPU in it thinking i should put it to work, the CPU is running fine but the GPU is stopped at ready and wont download, all drivers are up to date for the system, i am new here so want to make sure it all looks good with the log i have attached.

I'm getting that error too. It might be because there are so many new users and demand for models to solve has outstripped the supply of those models. A few work units come in here and there. The F@H team is working to get new WUs online and out to the masses.

However...that Quadro FX4600 is pretty old. I don't think it is supported anymore, since it's older than the Fermi architecture (GTX 460/470/480 era) which is the oldest Nvidia generation that can still get work units, I believe.

I have two of the cards was taken out of a cad system that was being thrown in the trash so threw it in the pc i was given to work with, if its not supported then i will let the cpu do it all.

Cpu isn't really efficient, I've got an i7 6800k with 12 threads watercooled running at 4,5 GHz and it barely manages to get 70k points a day while my 1080 almost reaches 1m points a day.

Also in configure go to slots, edit the gpu one and set it to 0 instead of -1

ive got the same problem here, ive a 1600x amd, it runs, but my 1070gtx is ready but not doing anything, id rather be using the gpu, latest drivers installed.

I know its an old pc but being this pc is running 24/7 thought might throw in one of 2 Quadro rather then being collecting dust, i changed the setting nothing still but the CPU has done 50% overnight.

As long as you complete the WU before the deadline, you're contributing. CPU's work slower than GPU's, but as far as I know (feel free to correct me here) CPU work is still more precise and there are certain calculations that can only be done with the CPU client. So let them fold on.
