Looks like my GPU isn't folding on the assigned work order

Hey,

So I just downloaded and installed folding@home after seeing it on Reddit. It's worth noting that I joined the team *after* installing the application, but not during the install itself.

My GPU hasn't been folding. At first, I thought it was just because it didn't get an assignment, since I never saw one show up in the web control page. However, after joining the team, it looks like my GPU simply isn't working towards the assigned project. CPU Folding seems fine though.

Any help? I've included the log and screenshot below.

General Information:

Amd Ryzen 7 2700X, Vega 64, 16 GB RAM, Windows 10

Wireless network connection. No special setups, as far as I know.

No overclocking done, no stability issues.

Not sure how to check client version, but the download file says 7.5.1_x86

The first page of the log shows a bit more about your hardware than you reported ... especially what FAH thinks about your GPU. (see below)

The web interface design is a bit confusing (IMO). When you have multiple folding slots set up, the information listed in the section below the GPU progress bar switches back & forth depending on which one you have selected. Right now you have the CPU selected, so the work unit you're seeing is the one your CPU is working on. If you click on the GPU progress bar, that information will switch over to the GPU work unit, except you don't have one yet because the server is temporarily out of work units for your GPU.

Ah, I see that now.

Guess I'll just wait on some GPU work orders.

Yep. Several servers ran out of GPU WU's overnight. The issue is being addressed as fast as the project's owner can get to it.

Just a note to you guys and/or whoever else is browsing this thread:

I've eventually gotten both my CPU and my GPU folding on my desktop. It's been about 4 hours though, patience is key.

It's worth mentioning that you can open the FAHcontrol, and then right click your cpu/gpu slot and put it on idle. Cycling the idle mode on, then off again, resets the ping timer, which makes it *slightly* more likely for you to get an order.

The timer, as far as I can tell, doubles wait time every time it fails. There may be an upper limit, I personally didn't see mine go above once per hour.

Anyhow, good luck and happy folding!

P.S. I set my gaming laptop up for folding as well. It initially got a GPU job right off the back, but didn't grab a CPU job for almost an hour. It's just luck of the draw sometimes I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
