Unable to Establish A Connection and Get Started

Hello all,

Today, I learned about Folding@home through a news article wherein Nvidia encouraged people to use it. Ironically I have a Radeon RX580, but that's beside the point. I installed the app today using express install options, and I have been unable to get the client to connect to Folding@home servers. From what I can tell, the client does not register a GPU in the system. It also registers my OS as being 32-bit despite it being 64-bit. I have followed a couple suggestions I have seen, including just leaving the computer idle for some time and ensuring that the client has firewall permissions in and out. I also gave all applications in the FAHClient folder administrator privileges, which seemed to help but didn't get a connection established.

After over an hour of trying various things, I am at a loss. My graphics driver and OS are both up to date. I am on a university campus and wouldn't be too surprised if it was something on their end, but wanted to get the expert opinion from you all here before I jumped to that conclusion. I do use DreamLabs, which is basically Folding@home for smartphones and I have no issue with it, so that's why I haven't given up on using Folding@home yet on campus network. I have pasted my log file below. Thank you in advance for your help!

If you right click Fahcontrol icon down in systray, select Advanced Control.
Then you should see list of 2 slots.
Click on Configure at the top left corner, select Slots tab.
If you see list of 2 slots. Highlight CPU slot by left clicking on it. Then click on Edit at the bottom. In opened window you have an option to select how many threads you want your CPU to use for folding. If you want your CPU to be used fully, select 15 threads (we will leave one thread for your GPU, as it needs it from time to time). If you don;t want to load your CPU fully, select 12 threads or 8 threads.
Click OK
Now left click on GPU slot.
In new window you have option to write numbers next to GPU-Index, OpenCL-Index and CUDA-Index.
Enter 0 next to GPU-Index
Enter 0 next to OpenCL-Index
Enter -1 or 1 next to CUDA-Index, sine your GPU is AMD, and CUDA is nVidia only.
Click OK.
Click Save.
Now hopefully both slots should light up green. If it says Ready for long time, that means you cannot connect to a server for work, which is at the moment normal (unfortunately) due to high server loads :) But if you are patient, you will receive work units on your CPU and GPU.

Now, if you at the beginning saw just one slot in Configure>Slots tab, you can add another one for GPU by clicking Add at the bottom of Slots tab.
After clicking Add
Enter 0 next to GPU-Index
Enter 0 next to OpenCL-Index
Enter -1 or 1 next to CUDA-Index, sine your GPU is AMD, and CUDA is nVidia only.
Click OK.
Then highlight CPU slot from the list by left clicking it, and click Edit at the bottom. Enter 15 as Thread count
Click OK and Save
Hopefully you will be folding right after this :)

If you have other questions or things are not improving do not hesitate to ask :)

Thanks for your input. When I first was having the issue the tray icon didn't even show up and advanced controls said that my system was connecting indefinitely. I recently was forced to move back home due to my university shutting down for Coronavirus concerns. I got F@H to work on my home internet, so as I suspected my university was blocking the connection. It's a little odd since Rosetta@home worked but whatever. I meant to mark this resolved, but forgot to. Thanks again though!
