Wikipedia states that in 2006-2011 the fah network was the fastest network in the world,topping even the fastest supercomputers.

Every year the record of supercomputers is doubled (we're about to hit the ceiling on that).

Also, according to Wikipedia, in 2018, the FAH network reached 138 pFlops, which should outclass the fastest super computer in the top500 list on Wikipedia,
And with the introduction to Pascal and Turing cards, I only expect it to reach even higher numbers today!

Current fastest registered supercomputer is IBM's Summit, with 122 petaflops of processing power.

I guess it is not because there are other distributed computing applications now like coin mining which are bigger than FAH. FAH hits 100 pflops in winter when people use it also to heat their homes but the number goes down in summer because then heat is not wanted or else air conditioning would get expensive. But the other way round if distributed computing would not exist for FAH then they would need a supercomputer running 24/7 just for FAH which would be impossible due to the cost.

If Bitcoin is correct on their website, and have a combined compute force of 80 zetaflops, or 80.704.290 Gigaflops; then FAH and every other government supercomputers combined are nothing compared to it.

But I bet the release of the latest generation graphics cards, give FAH quite the bump it needs.
