Radeon HD6990 -Antilles - No downloadable projects/ no foldi

I am having problem getting my GPU to start folding. How ever CPU folding works, it may how ever be too poor folding to be relevant compaired to system consumption of power and so on... i would choose to fold on GPU only, and this GPU is a GPUx2 setup that should fold in two slots. None of them works though, not even on fresh install of the client with only one slot active, nor with tho slots running. There seeme to be no downloadable projects for the Antilles Radeon HD6990?

It's not an issue with GPUs.txt files not knowing your GPU ... your GPU is detected by the client and recognized (by GPUs.txt file) in slots.
I'll try to find someone who can explain why you don't get work ... since it's an old GPU, maybe there's no compatible work for it ...

As a general rule, iGPUs do not support double-precision instructions and in the early days, only professional GPUs did. Gradually, double-precision was added to high-end home dGPUs. (Double-precision math has always been supported on CPUs.)
In the early days of FAH, all calculations were performed in single precision so the question never came up. Gradually, FAH projects became more complex and at some point, those calculations needed a limited amount of double-precision although the bulk of the calculations were still performed in single-precision. (This is also known as Mixed-Precision.)
Upon closer inspection, it appears that AMD may have introduced a limited number of HD 6000 series GPUs that can perform double-precision math and I think you happen to have one of those. To my knowledge, this has never been tested but it
MIGHT work.
Would you like to be the beta tester? I can't promise anything. It's likely to work and it might be very slow but we won't know unless somebody tries it.

That's true unless I can be convinced that the Radeon HD 69x0 were misclassified and that those GPUs will be able to fold the active projects that require mixed precision. AMD did build different members of the HD6000 series and later GPUs with different features -- using different GCN instruction set generations.
TeraScale 2 vs. TeraScale 3 (and/or GCN)? Not necessarily. Some Cayman GPUs have DP and some do not.
I don't see a problem with the Antilles, however.

You'll have to get a new copy of GPUs.txt.
Please make a full report of whatever you discover.

All seemes ok, except possibly the rate that the slots fold atm, we'll see if the pace picks up, perhapps i need to try x86_64 linux client instead of the windows one... possibly it will not make too much of a difference and my Antilles GPU is doomed to be a back up GPU for side projects or showing off to people who thinks it is a massive unit (its huge and will not fit in most micro ATX cases...).

I have an HD6950 (with SP reactivated) sitting on the shelf and I definitely will not restart it even for testing purposes: it's not worth it. And it's not worth turning over one of my NV GPUs to replace it with the old ATI one.

Well, the point of running the old GPU is that old hardware get a new purpose i guess, i deffenitely think that people building a folding rig out of new high end hardware helps the goal of f@h in a good way and that this is heartwarming way of dedicating their well earned money for something good...
How ever.
If the budget for this folding rig is $ 2K i guess money would be better spent as a gift to speciffic science or ongoing projects to treatment of diseases. My point is that as far as i know the f@h is about re-purposing outdated hardware to a common good -when supplying already owned hardware, smallamount of bandwidth and some energy cost to help build a distributed computing node for science. I also believe in doing this out of free will and not to gain own economic earnings on the fly, as in %whatever%-coin mining. Where the main object for contributors is their own earnings and the actual mining is a less focused product. I see this folding at home project the other way around. I help computing (how ewer if my demands of legacy support for no longer popular hardware slows down the actual projects by not compleeting requested calculations in time or unessecerly large core-size of the client -i then see there should be a whitelist and a blacklist, and as far as isee the given GPU is still in the white list...) and the common good that comes of this computing is worth my input power and fiddeling around to get the machine running after "best before date".
Maybe there should be a main core for newer hardware and a "hobbyist core" for ancient hardware and non 24-7 folders?
By the way, i have more than one pc running f@h and a better one is running 24-7(-365?)allready with a 3 GPU set up -not with optimal CPU or mobo how ever (GTX 980 + GTX 1070 + GTX 1070ti on aPhenom II x8 and a MB that only have one PCIx16 v2, a PCIx4 and a PCIx1 port...) I also try to build a noiceless pc with passice cpu cooler, two passively cooled GT1030 on a even older mobo with a AMD Phenom II x6 all but the two GPUS are hardware i anyway had laying around with the intention to eother fold on or send off to recycling station as it anyway will not be a mediacenter as intended first. (i got a few raspberry pi for that now due to lower enegy footprint)
...i also donate blood and some time/ money to humanitarian organisations - this folding is just another flawor of this philospy, hopefully this will still be possible without spending money on new hardware to be useful for the project even in the near future.

What topology is this about? is it locally fixable or is Fahcore_21 not compaliable to my system? (guessing this is beta-testing-feedback, but not sure if i set something up wrong here either)

They are spurious messages that you can safely ignore. A revision of the core does not issue those messages, but its release was held up due to other problems. At some point there might be an update to Core_21 that takes care of that, but have no idea when or if that is going to happen.

TeraScale 2 vs. TeraScale 3 (and/or GCN)? Not necessarily. Some Cayman GPUs have DP and some do not.
I don't see a problem with the Antilles, however.
All Cayman GPUs can do double precision. Actually as far as I remember double precision is a feature of TeraScale 3 and all TeraScale 3 videocards can do it. Exceptions: TeraScale 3-based IGP and APU.
TeraScale 3 family are pretty small. Its Cayman (HD 6930 / HD 6950 / HD 6970 / V5900 / V7900) and Antilles (HD 6990). All other HD 6xxx series videocards are Terascale 2 and have no DP.

What I do not understand is why your system reports that it has two Antilles [Radeon HD 6990] devices but they do not show up on the output from --lspci. Are you trying to hack the GPUs.txt file?
As an alternative, store the the output from GPU-Z somewhere on the web and link to it in your next post.
Yes, TeraScale 2 does NOT support Double Precision whereas TeraScale 3 (or later) does. If you find your hardware is misclassified, I'd be happy to fix it.

the HD 6990 has 2 GPUs on one card, effectively two HD 6970s.
