Gpu wont start folding.

I dont know why my gpu wont start folding but it seems it isnt able to get a work unit.

I should probably just stay out of it since I'm not an expert like the mods are, but I googled your GPU and found it's circa 2010 so my guess is that it's just so old that there aren't any compatible work units available. I hope I'm wrong though.

I also warn you that should you get it working, you may fins it is not fast enough to complete Work Units.

I am not an AMD expert but I suspect it needs a full driver install from AMD. (it says not configured) It may also lack enough RAM to start WUs.

I would not expect useful work from it, should you pursue why it fails.

I don't know for certain that there are no suitable WU's for the HD 5450, but strongly suspect that even if there are it would not be able to process them within the deadlines. The 5450 is the lowest card in the 5000 range, has only 80 cores, and does not support double precision calculations. The last feature is needed by many projects running Core_21 for part of the WU calculations.

It's time to upgrade to a newer and 64 bit OS if you want to do GPU folding ...

But more generally, the whole machine is not the best choice for efficiency ... :( I personally wouldn't fold on a Pentium 4 and such an old and low end GPU ...

I gonna start using my current pc once I get a new one. It would work great for folding.
