How does one turn off work fetch for a slot?
I cannot locate an option (flag) between the numerous websites and the forum. Had no luck with Google. Even it can't figure it out.

Just right click on the slot you want to stop after the workunit and select "Pause".

pause will cause the slot to immediately stop working. If you select finish it will continue working on the current wu until it's finished and not download a new one. It should be noted however that pause is persistent across reboots while finish is not. If you reboot any slot set to finish will go back to folding.

I want the slot to not get any more work after finishing the current work.
Isn't 'Finish' wrap up working on the current WU ASAP and send it in?

That requires one to be present when the work finishes...

If you choose "finish' that WU will finish and no new one will load.
Once done it will stay idle and you can now Pause the slot.
F@H gets all the WUs they sent out and when (or if) you want to use that resource, you can click Fold and it will start again. (If you never want to use that resource again, delete the slot once idle)

Got it. Been doing BOINC for quite a whiles and haven't played with Folding in some years. Looking like in terms of credit, GPU on this older Dell Latitude isn't as rewarding as dedicating 3-4 cores of te CPU. It's getting a little warm with the weather to run the GPU just about around the clock to stay within the deadlines. Few I've run seem to be about 3 days computing time. Of course the nVidia chip wasn't really intended for heavy GPU work (such as gaming) but not a bad chip none-the-less.

Yep, sorry, you were looking for the option "Finish", not "Pause"

Yes. That's what he needed ... but if the machine is rebooted, the Finish has to be reset (if the WU hasn't finised yet) or new WU will be downloaded (if the Wu had actually Finished. In the latter case (if he wants that slot to
remain idle) he has to use Pause (or delete the slot or use Pause-on-start) to keep FAH from starting a new WU.
