Dont know if folding at home can apply for this but theres donating someone quite a lot of bitcoin to charity's maybe it's worth checking it out.

Guess not because folding@home supports medical science and not direcly people.

They seem to be donating to organisations who are searching for cures so it might be worth to apply and see what happends.

Technically, I think F@H is searching for treatments, not cures.

Technically, F@H studies are basic scientific research, not exactly either treatments or cures. Specific drugs (including both treatments AND cures) are marketable products belonging to a drug company as trade secrets leading toward or resulting in a patent owned by that company. FAH's research finding are not patentable -- but rather are published in the public domain. Basic research can give a drug company a head-start toward a drug, but FAH's improvements in scientific knowledge are available to the competitors of that drug company, too.

So doesnt that mean that folding at home would be able to apply for this?
folding at home is a non profit organisation trying to speed up the understanding of diseases.
