Hello everyone! Long time no see.

At long last, my Nvidia GTX 1080 TI Founders Edition finally arrived and I've been testing it out over the last several days. I am absolutely astounded with its performance. I purchased it primarily for VR, but I still have various projects to keep it occupied. The PPD from this thing is unreal. At the moment it's pulling 952,500 PPD by itself. Proof:



The Founder's Edition is a little noisy and hot, but I prefer the blower fan in this case as I use an old watercooler and my free water to capture and dump the heat and keep my A/C costs down. I have not rigged it up yet though. Here is my battlestation as it stands right now: https://imgur.com/a/hzFtg The other GPU is a GTX 970.

You can try to overclock it using MSI Afterburner, most gtx 1080 ti can do plus 100-200Mhz stable. And on the other hand you can use MSI Afterburner to limit power usage to reduce noice.

Yeah, the 1080ti can be a monster; above 1M was also possible.

Depending on the work unit, the 1080ti is either a serious monster, or in a very few rare cases worse than the 1070.
Mostly it's a monster though.

Indeed. I got my 1080Ti yesterday and it is an absolute monster. Up to about 1.1M PPD from the previous 300k with my 970. Power usage is not too much higher either.

I actually think it could pull even more - monitoring with Afterburner shows "just" 85-90% of the GPU being used at any given time. My 970 was constantly att 99-100%

Yeah, the current cores and WUs aren't really taxing them - power draw is down too - rarely above 200 W and even when power limited to 160 W, very little drop in PPD.
Maybe some future projects will unlock what they are really capable of!

How do you get 126787 points for one WU from project 11409? I only get 17000 credit for one of those WUs.

17000 is the base credit for a 11409 WU. To get the Quick Return Bonus you need to use a passkey, complete 10 WU's, and maintain an 80% or better return rate. Oh nice! Now I get 132030 per WU (GTX 1080Ti running through every night of the week) ^^

Up to 1.3M ppm average with an Evga SC2 Hybrid Gaming without extra OC. Wow.
