Passkey Mistake

Err...
I hope I'm posting this in for correct place.
I was looking at the Folding@home website and I stumbled across getting a passkey.
So I entered my username, e-mail address and retrieved the passkey.
But after I relised that I needed the v6 FAH client, and I've got version 5.03.
Can I delete my passkey?
Or do I get v6?
Plz help, my current WU will be done soon.

You can keep folding the way you are.
Passkeys are only supported in V6. As of yet, they don't do anything.
Pande Group has said that they're considering extra points for folders that use passkey.
The V6 CPU client is beta software but it seems to be rock solid on my three machines. IIRC, it times out in early August and then you'll have to reload.

Oh thank god for that, I've spent over a week on this WU, I only done 6 but I didn't want to lose them.
So, does that mean the passkey would come in when v6 is released?

Hello Damien, welcome to the forum.
Passkeys, as you found out, can be obtained for use with the v6 client (as sneakers55 said, the beta v6 is out and is using it). However, at this time, the usage of passkeys does not give extra points. The researchers may decide in the future to award the extra points to those using passkeys but until then, you can continue to use your 5.03 client. And when you do decide to use the v6 client, with or without passkeys, you will retain your credits and nothing will be lost
Happy Folding!

And in case you misplace the passkey between now and then, entering the same info in the passkey request page will send you back the same passkey as before, so no worries.
