Please, where can I find the GPUs.txt file? (resolved)

Every link I follow to download the GPUs.txt file requires a username and password. A week ago I found it but had to reinstall my Linux OS and hadn't made a note of where I found it. I'm pulling out what little hair I have left. It definitely doesn't automatically download on a Linux install.

Welcome to the folding support forum.
This topic - viewtopic.php?f=83&t=26208 - has information on the GPUs.txt file and a link to the download. No login should be required or requested.
A future version of the client may improve initial download of an updated GPUs.txt file, but currently work in that direction is on hold. Sometimes a restart of the client after installation is sufficient to get it to initiate an update, but not always from reports.

Thanks for your response.
I followed the link and was again prompted for a username password.
I did restart the client several times using sudo /etc/init.d/FAHClient restart and it never downloaded the file.

Maybe try a different browser or reset your current one (like cookies; if possible) ? I can access with my mobile safari without any user/password following the links provided ?
Or just wget/curl on http: // fah.stanford.edu/file-releases/public/GPUs.txt
(Remove the space around // and watch the little s after GPU)

If you reinstalled your Linux: did you installed the vendor drivers instead of open source ? Maybe also worth trying to reinstall the client instead of restart after you installed the official drivers.

Using a different browser did the trick. Thanks so much for the suggestion. I think it's really strange that it was browser specific.

I'm running FireFox 45.0.1 on Ubuntu and GPUs.txt opens without a password.

I know I've run into the same issue with the default install of Ubuntu 14.04 which has FF 39.0 installed. I ended up transferring it from my Windows PC since I already had it there.
