Folding project issue

I have been folding daily for I am unsure how long. I am not sure where to post this. The project prior to the one I am currently on is wonky. The amount of time it indicates you have to fold the project is less time than the folding time itself the project says it is going to take. I think that same project has been in my queue a few times actually or I have seen this on another project also. I have the folding power at full and running all the time. I do shut down the computer so folding is not occurring 24 hours but even right after getting the project when I have not had the computer off the time is showing up as a issue. I allow it to fold the project but it will expire before it finishes and so then all that time is wasted as the project is not done and I dont know if it is restarted with a new person thus never getting completed with the error. I just dont want to have projects sitting unfinished and/or time that could go to another project wasted. Please look into it. I am sorry I dont know the details of the project as I didnt ss it nor recall the specific info. I started it last night and turned off the computer to sleep but as I said it was already going to expire prior to finishing. It was at expire in 6mins when I got on today. On another occasion with another fold I do know it was about to expire but it was reset with more time and finished the fold but I dont know what project that was either.

Welcome to foldingforum.org, CandaceMcRae.
The projected time to finish a WU is an estimate based on several hours of folding. If your computer has been off or if it as gone into power saving sleep (hibernation) progress will also be suspended but the wall-clock will continue to run so the estimated rate of completion will decline. I won't be sure that applies to you, though, until you provide us with more information.

Hi Bruce. OK so the one I am now on is the example of the issue I was referring to. I got SS to show. I dont know if I should Email them? I am sort of a quick study but I have not seen a obvious way to attach a ss on the forum. I also can create this post where it is more appropriate if referred to the correct thread....SMILES. In the mean while Project 9752 .... 9752 (4197, 0, 149) 18 hours 40 mins 1000
Work Unit (PRCG) Work Unit (ETA) Estimated Points . My computer has 17 hours 17 mins to complete this work unit. I left the computer up while doing house stuff and it ended the previous fold and moved on to this. The computer had not been shut down at all or suspended ect since this project started. My computer is never allowed to hibernate per my settings. It will however be turned off when I go to sleep and as it is already upside down on the time it will not finish in time for sure unless it at the end resets the deadline. I am not sure if I know how to locate the needed info you referred to with the link I am not totally oblivious to the computer but not tech savvy either (contrary to what my husband thinks it more fumbling luck)

OK so this is the only way I could figure out how to make the ss available in a fast manner.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/410685339136524/
It is a public fb site (so you can see it without joining) that I created that you can see all my SS on. Hopefully I have not posted anything important that allows malicious stuff to occur to my computer.

if you want to attach a ss to the post choose full editor at the bottom of the post box then click on the Img button at the top of the post box. the ss will need to be saved on the web somewhere like image shack / dropbox or something like that the URL will need to be put in-between the two Img Img that appear in the post box. But a log from the WU would be better just choose Code and copy and past it between the Code Code that appears in the box.

Our forum doesn't provide a place to store images; only text. You can link to a public images stored elsewhere.
Public images stored on Imageshack, dropbox, etc. are public to everybody even without logging on to anything. Facebook tells me I have to log on to see your image (I don't have a FB ID) so it's not really a public image, just public inside of FB.
Follow the link in the signature of my previous post. In the section 4-How To Post A Log File (Windows Vista/7) contains three different methods to post the text of your log file. Tell me which steps are unclear and I'll try to do a better job of explaining.

I did notice something new after posting here two weeks ago my GPU is not sitting at 0% anymore and actually working
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B99G7c ... sp=sharing
If that is good I have yet to determine as now my graphics are giving me lagging issues with watching some videos. Not my Hulu ones but facebook and some of the Xfinity cable provider ones which I think link to the network sites like TNT ones do. So seeing at the moment I only know now to stop the GPU by pausing the entire folding can someone pass on how to pause only GPU if I am having the issue to see if it resolves or trouble shoot if it is some other issue going on that I have yet to determine. It might just be coincidence that it started at the same time.

When FAH is running, there should be an icon in systray (the notification segment on the right of the taskbar). Right-click and select "Advanced Control"
In the center of the screen, you'll see "Folding slots" Right-click on one of them and you'll know what to do.
(The big Fold/Pause/Finish buttons at the top apply to all slots, like the Web Control that you've been using.)

To pause just the GPU: in Advanced Control, select the client (if you are running just one folding PC, it's the only one, labelled "local"). On the Status tab, under "Folding Slots" right click the GPU. The context menu has options for Fold/Pause/Finish that affect one slot only. Works on Windows and Ubuntu.
(Arrgh, Bruce beat me to it while was checking
)

Ok Not to whine about how much time it takes versus given to get the folding done but bloody like when it is going to take 3 days to do it and there is only a bit over 5 days allotted. The likely hood of it getting done is going to be low if I shut down the computer when I sleep. I know some computers are up 24/7 but mine is not.
