I am new to folding and just wanted to clear something.
My CPU usage goes high as 60% even on light mode on my notebook and the fan is working everytime to cool it .
Is it normal for laptops to have such high usage or is there a problem ?
All settings are default , all i have changed is the identity .
Also i cannot connect to web-controls even there is no port blocking and have added exception in anti-virus .
Please help .
High CPU Usage

Re: High CPU Usage
FAH is designed to use "all" of the unused resources. That means most of us expect to see their CPUs running 24x7 at 100%. (GPUs are a little different, but that's a different topic.)
Computers are supposed to be designed to manage the heat generated without causing damage, no matter what the software throws at the CPU. Many laptops (but not all) do that effectively, even if the fan runs continuously. (I run mine at 100% and don't consider it's a problem, although I'd never try to run it on something soft like a bed, which could obstruct the airflow. Others make different choices.)
FAH is designed so that if your hardware has multiple CPUs, it can customize the workload for all or fewer-than-all CPUs, but only based on that number. If you have a Quad, your client can be set to use either 4 or 3 or 2 or 1 CPU which really corresponds to 100%, 75%, 50% or 25% since the workload is distributed across all of the CPUs. If you have a Dual, though, FAH will use up to either 50% or to 100%, depending, of course, on whatever else is running.
Webcontrol works for me, as does AdvancedControl. Does Advanced Control connect?
