The logs show this error when trying to start the CPU work unit

16:54:34:WARNING:WU03:FS00:FahCore returned: BAD_WORK_UNIT (114 = 0x72)
16:54:34:WU03:FS00:Sending unit results: id:03 state:SEND error:FAULTY project:9009 run:1152 clone:3 gen:11 core:0xa4 unit:0x00000010664f2de453868cd3644af1d8

This is the processor I'm using

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-5960X CPU @ 3.00GHz
CPU ID: GenuineIntel Family 6 Model 63 Stepping 2

any idea why its not working?

Welcome to the forum.

We would need to see more of the log file and have information about your systems and setup to figure out why the WU was determined to be bad. But occasionally a bad WU is generated.

Other things to check are overheating or excessive overclocking. Both can cause a calculation to go wrong and result in a bad WU failure.

Please try changing the number of CPUs in the cpu slot configuration to 12. Right now the client appears to be using 14 and that decomposes to 2x7 which is not a good choice for some (probably most) projects because of the prime number 7.

That appears to have done the trick, its started folding successfully. If something changes I'll post again, but so far so good.
