Re: Failed to access core package
Welcome to the folding@home support forum senuketo.
Unfortunately AMD GPU folding is not yet supported with Linux. Hopefully, with their newer drivers it will be soon but until a core has been compiled and tested for it the only way to fold on those GPUs is with Windows. At this time only Nvidia GPUs are supported with that o/s.

Re: Failed to access core package
lol, thanks for the prompt answer.
Will try them with a windows now.
I also did a test under windows with 280x but it still wasn't folding with the GPU. Could it be that 280x are not supported?

Re: Failed to access core package
The 280x should be supported with the latest graphic drivers from AMD. The default setup will only fold on your GPU when the system is idle. You can move the slider to Full to override that default and it should start folding immediately.
If you still have a problem using Windows please post the log including the System Info and Config sections(see this thread). AFAIK you will need a Windows version later than XP but I could be mistaken. I do know in some cases XP does not support the later drivers and Microsoft has stopped supporting it.
