AMD Seymour (as 2nd gpu) hangs and not folding
Posted: Tue Feb 04, 2014 11:10 am
Hello all,
I started folding some days ago. I loved the idea of helping science and medicine while testing my hardware and warming my office and my room .
Anyway, while I'm folding great with my CPU, I can't get my 2nd GPU working.
I've an APU configuration with AMD A10-4600M with AMD Trinity [Radeon HD 7660G] (GPU 0) and AMD Seymour [AMD Radeon HD 6470M] (GPU1).
I configured 2 slot separately for the 2 GPUs as I wanted to set idle=true for GPU 0, because my computer's interface became too slow when folding with this.
Instead I can use GPU1 without seeing any slowdown (or at least I should be able to..).
When folding starts on GPU1 slots, it goes for 4 minutes using the CPU (I assume compiling open-CL kernel), then sometimes I get the message that my video driver has restarted, then GPU load (with GPU-z) goes at 100% for few more minutes, then get back at 0% and folding won't go ahead. The log is stuck at "Checking core state against reference...", while on GPU 0 at least it goes further, but I can't tell how much.
Software: Windows 8.1 (6.3.9600), AMD driver 13.12.
P.S. when it get stuck, I can't pause the WU from FAHControl, I have to kill the FahCore_17.exe process.
Logs:

00\01\log.txt
GPU 0 logfiles (for reference):

Thank you for your help
