Uninstalling 6.34

OK, how do I uninstall v6.34? It was not listed in my Programs and Features list. This on a Win 7 sp 1 Home Premium system.
So I went ahead and downloaded/installed v 7.3.6_x86.exe, after first closing v6. I entered the passkey I had for V6. I now have the FAH icon in my notifications tray, and it seems to be working. It is estimating about 17,100 ppd, which is a bit less than what I was getting with v 6.34 (~18,000).
I'm not a gamer, and don't really care about ppd, except as a measure of how well my PC is contributing.
Finally, Task Manager is telling me that Fah.core is using about 88% of my CPU. With V6 it was 100%. Which suggests I have some tweaking to do.

If the v6.34 is not running, uninstall is as simple as simply deleting its folder and delete its folding shortcut from the startup folder but be careful not to delete the v7.3.6 folding shortcut from the startup folder.

The default settings for 7.3.6 on installation has the power setting at Medium for desktops and Light for laptops. Medium reserves one CPU core/thread for other applications that a user might have running, while Light uses half the available cores/threads to avoid running a laptop at full. If you move the slider to Full, the next WU will use all cores. More information on the V7 client can be found through the Software link at the top of every forum page.

Please note that if you want additional tweaks, post the initial section of the log which contains the system specification and F@H configuration which will help us to help you.

Thanks folks. I think I've uninstalled 6.34 and all the shortcuts to it. I must say it goes against all my instincts to uninstall a program merely by deleting its folder! But I see that the V7 client is now listed in my Control Panel>Programs and Features list, whence it can be deleted in the usual manner with which I am familiar for uninstalling programs.
I actually did read all the info on V7 that I could find prior to installing it. I'm using a fairly new desktop with a decent CPU. With the V6 client, it used 100% unless I opened another program, which did not seem to be impacted in any way. If I now set the V7 slider from its default "Moderate" to "Full" setting, I see V7 is now using 100% also. Will this negatively impact on other programs I might open? The only programs loaded at startup are just security: my AV, Windows firewall, MBAM Pro, and WinPatrol PLUS.
@PantherX: I have no idea where that log containing my system specs and F@H config is. Perhaps it has not been created yet.

You can use the advanced control to access the log (log tab then do a refresh followed by a copy and then paste it between

tags in this thread) or you can go to Start->all programs->FAHClient->Data Directory for the actual current log file and the log folder for old ones. A new log is created and the old log goes to the log folder whenever the client is started. Every time a log file is created it lists the system and config at the start. The refresh is so the entire log is loaded into the advanced control otherwise it shows only the most recent portion of the log for performance reasons
The impact of v7 should be no different than v6 since they use the same cores to do the work. The main difference is in the user-interface and the ability to run both the GPU with the CPU with just one client
V6 stored the entire program and data in a single folder+ sub folders. If you delete the base folder everything goes away except for any shortcuts that start the program (typically in the startup folder but some people also put the shortcut on the desktop for manual starting). So it is a safe way to uninstall because it didn't put stuff in any other place.
V7 now stores the program separate from the data so an uninstall routine is more appropriate.

Thanks so much, P5-133XL. I found the log.
I think I've got everything pretty much figured out with this client. I've only installed a new client twice before, and it has been a few years. I'm most grateful for all the help received here. As a researcher myself, I'm so glad to be able to contribute my unused cycles to such a worthy cause.
