This WU completed several hours ago, but has not been accepted by either server. I checked the status of the two servers and (at least from what I can tell) they are active and receiving WUs. Perhaps the error is on my end and I will continue to troubleshoot here, but the error message suggests it may be on the server side: "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it." For this reason, I wanted to report it ASAP in case others were having the same problem.

I hope the log snippet below is helpful in identifying the problem. If I solve it on my end, I will report back.

Thanks for the report. According to the server-status page, everything was fine when the last report was generated some 19 minutes ago. Reports normally are updated every 20 minutes, so we'll probably get a refresh any time now.

I am unable to open either http://128.143.199.97:8080 or http://128.143.231.202:8080 from my browser, which is a pretty good sign that something is wrong but I'll give it a little longer before notifying the owner, in case he's actively working on those machines.

Then it switched to Transfer failed after an upload of only 0.87%. That makes it look like a problem on your end. The servers are both sending and receiving WUs.

Those servers are expected to fail the http tests. They're supposed to have an extra level of security.

Although not definitive, I think it the issue was either a random event or an issue with my firewall, which has been causing difficulties recently with my Web browsing. To turn off the firewall, I had to reboot my PC. As you can see from the code below, the upload seemed to go smoothly after reboot. With the firewall back on, I'll check whether I have a similar issue when the next WU completes, ETA about 28 hours. [BTW, different project, but the same server (128.143.231.202).]

Regarding your confusion about the time:

I notice that the log says the "...actively refused it." messages happened between 14:44:23 and 19:15:37 GMT, which doesn't make much sense. What day was that?

That was today (9 Sept ). Could it be you are confused because the time is an hour off? I noticed in my Forum settings that my local time (EST) was not corrected for Daylight Savings, so my post may be an hour off. I have since corrected that setting. If you are responding to something else about the time, I'm stumped.
