Can't complete WU for project 8584 before timeout

I’m having a problem with my WU for project 8584. I’m a relatively new folder. I have completed my first 10 projects, all before timeout. My computer cannot possibly finish this current project on time. I was given about 8 ½ days to complete it. The ETA is about 10 days. This estimate is based on overnight running time—it always takes longer than the initial estimate as I use my computer during the day. I have never had a problem before finishing a project ahead of timeout—I just run my PC overnight with nothing else running, and together with my available daytime computing for F@H, the projects get done on time.
(I also did my own calculation based on how long it took to complete a frame overnight, and even if I ran my PC in “overnight mode” for 8 ½ days, I could not complete this WU.)
After reading old messages here for advice, I decided to try deleting the WU file. (This file is not hard to find, as the path is given in the log.) As soon as I restart F@H, the project is immediately downloaded again from the server, and resumes folding where it had left off.
Is there any way to get rid of this WU? I just want to help the project and it's my understanding that if projects are not completed by timeout, then I'm really not helping much.
