For cleaning your rig you must be able to upload the finished WU´s - but this is impossible, too . . . :e(

I think he means thoroughly blowing the dust out of an idle computer -- before or after uploading a finished WU.

With many servers off-line, the chances of not being able to get new assignments will be much higher today than usual. The PG's goal was to keep either the WS or the CS on-line, wherever possible, so the chances of uploading finished WUs should be (almost) normal, even if there's no new assignment to follow that WU until the WSs come back on-line. Of course that won't necessarily be possible if the CS also happens to be involved in the move.

I was lucky and managed to work into PG but no fresh assignments, powered down, Heatsinks and fans all clean and ready to go on 2 machines - the 3rd is halfway through a WU and hopefully won't be affected

I'm not getting new WUs at this time. I rebooted which usually fixes hiccups.

Merged your post with the rest about this issue. As announced in the blog last week, they are moving servers at Stanford today. Any that are down at this point should be back later.

Not knowing where to post this, I just guessed!!!

When trying to get stats at http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/mai ... _McEachern,
This results:

Internal Server Error

I can't send big WU's, gpu or smp. Everything is hosed.

Please note that within a few hours, everything will hopefully be back to normal. Thus, you should be able to upload the completed WUs but might receive less points due to the expected delay.

BTW, I was able to upload completed WUs during this planned outage.
