I am running on a Mac (mac OS 10.6.8) with 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 1GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM. My search engine is Safari 5.1.9
My Folder@Home webpage does not have the black screen world graphic with folding proteins. Instead, I have a webpage with the status of my project at the top and a write up of the project beneath. Is this because my Mac is an older model?

By F@H webpage are you referring to the page that comes up in your browser when you click on the FAHClient.url that is installed into the Applications folder? Then that is what you should be seeing as can be seen from the screen shot on the
OS X Installation Guide page. That web page also comes up by default after installing F@H for the first time.
The "black screen world graphic with folding proteins" would describe the screen from the FAHViewer application. That is also installed to the Applications folder, but can be left uninstalled if you clicked it off using a Custom install. Double-clicking on that application when you have a protein being folded should come up with the display you are looking for. It has help built in, and additional information on the viewer application is available on the wiki page for
FAHViewer.

I think you are confusing the Web Control with the Folding@Home protein viewer/screen saver. It is the protein viewer and the screen saver that have the world graphic with a folding protein. The Web Control shows the power slider with a project status and project description and a bunch of other tabbed pages.
