Dual Xeon E7-2860

I've been out of Folding for a little while, but I just came across a pair of new-in-box Xeon E7-2860's. The specs look good but the design is almost a couple of years old. Would it be worth buying a new dual socket system board and other goodies to turn these into a folding machine? They have 10 cores each per processor with hyperthreading, and run at 2.26 GHz with 24 MB of cahce.

If anyone knows anthing about Xeons, can you recommend a reasonable system board for them?

P5-133XL, on this topic, provided a link to a good table to look at:

Thanks for the link. I should probably find a way to pass these processors on to somebody who could make good use of them. Motherboard prices for the LGA 1567 are sky high.

It is not my list! I just remembered its existence and pulled the list from HardOCP after searching for it in their forums.

Sorry, I was not trying to imply that it was, but my original message was poorly worded. I have amended it to make it clear that all you did was to provide a link to the table. I was just trying to give you credit for finding the table, as I did not want proliance to think that I found it on my own.
