Only Getting 807x WU's ?

For the past 3 days i've only been getting 807x WU's and want to know why ? I've been folding constantly for weeks and now i seem to be stuck with these..
Is this happening with anybody else ?
I'm using client 7.2.9 and am folding with a GTX 660. I have no flags so that can't be the problem. Help !

Seems to be what the servers are giving out atm. I am getting the same. No flags either. Seems like they also use more CPU cycles so the SMP 8 units are down a good bit as well.
I don't see a problem. It is what it is right now. At least your GPU should be running cooler.

My dual-GTX660Ti system has received only 762x WUs in the last 3 days, it currently has a pair of 7625s. Same thing for my dual-GTX460 system, it currently has a pair of 7626s.

Welcome to the forum, one7oh5.
Sometimes one seems to get a string of same old, same old project. If you want some variation, you could try advanced client-type, viewtopic.php?f=67&t=18187. No guarantees that you'd get something different, though. Also note that advanced WUs are actually late stage beta WUs, so they could be a bit more error prone than normal ones. Which in turn could actually make your PPD worse, in case you're looking for PPD improvement.

The project sends out the work units that it needs to be completed in the order needed. If they need a lot of one type of WU, we all get to fold those same WUs for a while, a week, a month... Or it could change tomorrow. They decide. Don't sweat it.

Like most people I fold what I'm sent but I did notice something I thought was strange. I have two ISPs, one cable and one dsl. The GPUs(Win 7) on the cable ISP all switched to the P807x work units 3 or 4 days ago but the GPU (Win 8) on the dsl network never changed and continues to only get P762x work units. All the GPU slots are configured the same, go to the same AS but different work servers.
Edit 01/23: My win 8 & dsl 'party' is over ... it too is now only getting P807x work units.

Interesting. That fits the timeline for the WU switch for me as well.

Wow, my two GTX 660 Ti GPUs had the opposite happen to them. They each got
one 807x WU (an 8072 and an 8074) 3 days ago, then switched to exclusively 762x WUs. My two GTX 460 GPUs have stayed on 762x WUs the whole time. Just lucky, I guess!

I'm quite new at folding so my thanks go to everyone that helped me out, Happy Folding !

I don't know if I'm in the right thread, but I want to whine too, lol. I have a GTX 670, and I'm seeing HUGE deviations from one type of work unit to the next. Between 15k and 20k difference. The differences are standardized for work unit type, and consistent. I know how many PPD I'm going to get based on the identifier for the work unit. I cringe when I get sucky ones. I'm sorry, but I am a competitive person, I do keep track of my PPD, and it is frustrating. I'm very happy to be contributing, and in the end it doesn't matter, but - I can't help but be competitive. So, it's very detracting when I get frustrated by silly stuff. I don't like being frustrated, yet I force myself to be, because I like the cause. I would really like it if things were a bit smoother

. I think frustration over this will cause people to quit as well, because it's *that* annoying for us OCD folks.

I'm glad to do whatever work is assigned to us by the FAH project. I am very competitive, too, and I like getting more points rather than less. But I do OK even with all 807x WUs, as you can see by my latest results that I posted
here.
I think we just need to step back a bit, and understand that the science being advanced is the
really important thing here. If getting about 58k PPD per system (
with 807x WUs), instead of about 88k PPD per system (
with 762x WUs) on my #2, #6, and #7 systems was the biggest problem in my life, I would consider myself to be extremely fortunate. In total, my 7 systems get about 100k PPD more with 762x WUs, compared to 807x WUs, but everyone else is in the same situation. So nobody is "gaining" on you because of the change in the WUs being assigned.
I would say, just focus on helping the FAH group (Stanford/PG) do their work, and be satisfied that we are all helping them to advance the science.

WU assignmenst are out of your control, so don't worry about it. Pande Group assigns the WUs in the order they need them done to move the science of the project forward. Everyone is getting the same mix of work units, so as to competition, it's fair for everyone.
