APU Problem

Folding extremely slow on a new system.
Any advice appreciated.
CPU A10-5800K 3.8G 4M FM2
MB ASROCKFM2A75 PRO4 A75 FM2
GPU ASUS EAH6670/DIS/1GD5 Radeon HD 6670 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1
Set CPU to SMP:2 as advised. New log after restart now with some action.
Not seeing any progress from the GPUs.

Welcome to the folding support forum phweda!
We would need to see more of the log in order help. The Configuration section and the folding log showing some progress.
If you're not sure how to see that information please see: viewtopic.php?p=225958#p225958
One thing I notice from what you have supplied is that you have two AMD graphic cards. If they are both folding then your maximum configuration for an SMP slot would be SMP:2 since each GPU slot would require a CPU core.

he has 2 ati gpu's listed - that will slow smp folding down by a hell of a lot - decision time, fold on cpu only or feed one or more gpu's and run either smp 3 or a uni client or 2

Your log is too small to see if there is any progress on your WU's. Other than that, everything looks good.

The A10 consists of four integer cores which share two APUs. That means that SMP:3 or SMP:4 will provide very little benefit since SMP:2 will keep both APUs busy. Using two AMD GPUs is really a pretty reasonable thing to do since the GPUs will do the floating point processing while two of the integer cores will be needed to keep the GPUs busy.
You're welcome to test other options, but without a machine for me to benchmark, I'm quite confident that SMP:2 plus two GPUs is the optimum choice for that hardware. If your testing finds a better option, please let us know.

Updated log. The GPUs are being projected to take ~70 days to complete. Not sure if this is my folding setup or I missed something in setting the system up.

Try pausing slot 01 to see if the TPFs of the other two slots decrease significantly.
You can right click on the slot under Folding Slots and select pause.
You need to be in the Advanced or Expert view(i.e. not Novice) to be able to do the above.

Do you actually have a second GPU installed on that system or is the onboard GPU somehow being recognized as two different GPUs?

Unfortunately, in order to maintain a clear generational differentiation, AMD’s spin doctors have given these graphics cores a HD 7000 series name even though they contain an older architectural design. Nonetheless, they still come equipped with some serious graphics processing muscle. In an A10 APU, there will be 384 stream processing units (or cores), 24 texture units and 8 ROPs, mirroring the layout of a HD 66xx desktop part.

Okay it could be that running the on-board 7660D and the SMP is just too much for the processor, but we'll know more after you run it for a while.
Please let it run as now configured(with slot 01 paused) for at least 8 hours then post another log.

Checking with the points calculator, it looks like you're getting about 820 PPD on project 7026.

Solved. After several rounds of different configurations confirmed my problem was caused by one of the AMD Utilities I had installed prior to Folding. Am now folding with SMP:2 and both GPUs and showing ~10,000 PPD.
Appreciate all the advice.

Do you recall what AMD utility caused that. I'm having the same problem with the same card.
