I am currently on team 0, which is for Alzhimers. I set my priority to cancer research but I don't know where to find what team number I should join so all of my work units go twords cancer research.

The teams are more for shared interest, friendly (or sometimes serious) competition and mutual assistance, it is not the team but the work unit that is specific to certain sorts of research, so team 0 or 100 or 1000 does not make any difference in respect to projects you are working on.

I'm all for cancer research too. The cause preference does not currently work server-side. Right now you get what you get and there's very little you can do to filter WUs for one disease or the other. However, that cause preference does indicate that this may change soon-ish. No idea when though.

Like kiore said, teams are just for comroderie, competition, etc. They don't influence what WUs you get.

Don't let this discourage you from folding Kyle - even if all the WU you get right now will not be cancer-related, be sure that you contribution is still very important. Also, as Kiore and Jesse explained, chances are fair we will see the causes feature implemented soon, meaning you will be able to give preference to certain classes of WUs. Keep folding! :)

I'm not sure where you got that idea. The team numbers are not associated with any disease and have no influence on project selections.

At the present time, it's not possible to be selective. All of FAH's research is more general than that. Even if someone happens to be working on a protein that is known to be present in one disease, the study may reveal some interesting facts about other diseases.

Nevertheless, the Development team is working toward a way to state a preference and have that influence the selection of future projects when there's a choice that can be made. Please be patient until this development is fully operational.
