Project 8052 TPF differences with 4 and 8 cores?

Probably answered elsewhere but -
I am running P8052's and notice -
(593,1,22) @ 00:00:37 on 8 cores
(339,2,8) @ 00:02:42 on 4 cores

Seems like a big difference to me.
Any Thoughts?
Thanks
PS - see profile for environment details

After decyphering your profile, I assume you are talking of running this in a VM on your i7. Apparently version 7 of the folding client. If you are getting the TPF numbers from FAHControl, there is a known issue that it does not report TPF or PPD accurately for some projects. The values reported will oscillate around the actual number. To get an accurate value look at the times reported in the log, averaged over a number of frames that will be a better number.

Edit: Project 8052 appears to still be in beta, any project specific support for this will be found in the Beta forum.

Unrelated to the specific WU, what are the "other" 4 "cores" doing when not folding? Idle?

Thanks
PS: Beta ?? I am not a beta AFAIK; getting TPF from HFM v0.9.1; For FAH Control !!Really do not see this is out of Beta!@#$%^

8052 appears in psummary: http://fah-web.stanford.edu/psummary.html which according to the Beta Team Rules of Engagement thread, lists "Public Projects (normal, advmethods/advanced and bigadv)"

My mistake, I missed the one-line post in the beta area announcing it went to advanced. Usually they are posted in the Updates thread.

Some months ago there was a post noting that projects were appearing on the psummary list that should only show on the psummaryB list. There was a followup that they were looking into fixing that, I don't know if they did. It seemed to be connected to having a mix of beta and non-beta projects on the same server. So being on psummary may not be definitive.

But mine is normal FAH, not advanced.

That I don't know about, perhaps the project owner forgot to post the change.

Is there a single "official" listing that accurately states the status of each Project? I believe that I occasionally receive Beta WUs (not advanced) and I am not designated a Beta Team member. How do you check?? Rule of Thumb is "If they deal them, you Fold them".

@Aardvark

If the project is listed on the Project Summary (link at top of page) then it is no longer considered beta. However, it could still be in the advanced category.

humm,
A look at the task manager shows HFM eating up +/- 25% CPU
On P7200 (17/6/282)
With HFM HFM FAH Control
TPF 14.53 13.06
Without HFM 5.22 - may further decrease based upon how calculated.

So HFM is out for me.
