Is there a way in that F@H could help with new Antibiotics?
There is a real danger that people will start dieing of pneumonia again.
My uncle went to the hospital because of one thing and then came back with a virus that he then died of. This might often happen with bacteria in the future. There are many resistances now and some pathogens are even resistant to all known antibiotics.

F@h is already doing a lot of work in the fields of drug design, antibiotics, and drug resistance. Dr. Kasson is studying how a virus recognizes and infects cells.

There are peptites that hinder bactria. Maybe the project could be used to simplify and strengthen them.

I am sorry to hear about your uncle.
Antibiotics are not used to treat viruses though, but perhaps you meant bacterial infection, there is some work going on on Vancomycin which is the last line of treatment for MRSA and other antibiotic resistant bacterial strains, I a doing one now, project 10721 .

I ment the parallel between hospital infections.
Now there was nothing against that virus, but in the future there might also be nothing against Bacteria.

Nice, that might become very important one day.
