Firewall blocked sending finished works

Hello,

unfortunately my firewall blocked sending my finished work to your server (the firewall did detect it as attack) - to which address can I send it? (of course Antivirus tested etc)

Welcome to foldingforum.org, 8ohmh.

The only way to upload the finished work is to use the client. The firewall needs to be configured to allow the client software to make a connection to the FAH servers.

Under normal circumstances, the client keeps trying if it fails to upload. Check your log and post it here if you don't understand what it is saying.

do not indicate a firewall problem. They indicate that the WU was uploaded but it was corrupt so the server rejected it. :(

That's bad - Ok, does it mean that the results were wrong? (gosh 2 days of running quad core 80% would be for nothing - isn't it?) Please tell me (or another person) the right procedure - thanks

WUs can be corrupted by bad hardware (too much overclock or too hot), by an overly aggressive antivirus program that decides to take action on some of the FAH data in the work folder, by a loss of power or other abrupt termination rather than a clean shutdown, and probably a few other unknown causes.

The messages

Code: Select all

Working with standard loops on this execution.
Previous termination of core was improper.
indicate that FAH had not been shut down cleanly which is not a good sign for whatever happened just prior to this log.

Ok, that's bad (maybe the hibernation function of windows is the source). What should I do now with the results? Discard it or can you use them anyway?

The results should have been cleared already and discarded by your folding client, that is what the line in your log about cleaning up means. If it did leave the prior WU and you need help discarding them, post and someone can give you directions. The results are of no use as they can not be used to reliably generate the initial conditions for the next WU.
