Ooops! 3 activation keys, one email address

Hi,
Sorry, I am brand spanking new to this and was trying to sign up correctly. Well, I signed up not 1, not 2, but three different user names before I got the right name I was supposed to use with my team, using the same email address in all three cases. Now, only the first username will show stats, the second and third show a blank page for my stats. I only want the third user name associated with my email address - does anyone know what I can do to fix this?
I don't want to stick with the first user name because it has to match my team's forum's user name to get credit for a contest.
Thanks,
D

Welcome to foldingforum.org, justanother.
You can choose to keep any of the three settings based either on the credits that have already been accumulated or your choice of names. That's entirely up to you. Once point have been credited, the Pande Group does not adjust points or make other changes to your credits, to your passkey or to your user name. They do make an exception when it is clear that something went wrong with the server code and the original credit can be successfully recovered.
From what you've said, it seems pretty clear that if any mistakes were made, they were your mistakes.

Thanks Bruce,
So the question remains for me - since you said I can use any of the three names. Only the first user name shows up with STATS at the Stanford stat page. The other two user names (settings as you referred to them) show only a blank page with the Stanford header - the page is blank where stats would go. How can I change it since it would still be registered to the same email address? How can I register the correct user name so that it will show up on my team's roster?

Your username is not connected to your email address as you don't have to register to contribute. As long as the client has the username you want typed in, that name will be credited. The stats page may not show anything until your first Work Unit is returned under that name; you should wait until you've completed something, then wait an hour or two for the stats server to process it, and check again.
If you're talking about a passkey, which does require your email address, did you get three separate emails, one passkey for each name? Just enter the passkey for the name you want to use and everything should be good.
There's no way to actually remove usernames once they're entered into the system unless you do something illegal (not that I think you would, just saying that's the only way that I know of to actually get a username deleted completely).
What are the three names you've used, incidentally?

Hi Zagen30,
I agree that my user name is not connected to my email address since I can get three separate passkeys to one email account, but thinking that maybe their system only allows one "donor" name per email address (kind of like the email address is a primary key in their DB or something like that and when I requested new keys/new donor names to the one email address, it reverted to the original donor name with a new key). The three donor names are "ASUS_REPUBLIC_OF_GAMERS", "db", and "dbdbdb". When it asked for "donor" name when signing up for a key, I thought I was supposed to put in the team that I am folding for as "the donor". Obviously I blew that
Then, for credit for a contest, it said my username had to match the username of my account on my team's forum site. Hence the final passcode request. I received three different keys to the one email. I have only done work under dbdbdb. But credit is showing up under ASUS_REPUBLIC_OF_GAMERS users name. On my team's FAH roster, my ASUS_REPUBLIC_OF_GAMERS user name is showing up, but the other two (and really I only want the third one) doesn't show up at all, yet that's the one I am doing work under.

Some people choose to use more than one user name. For example, they may use a different name for each machine and create a team to keep track of their total.
Any points that have already been credited toward a particular name belong to that name permanently and can't be moved. Unused names can just be ignored. Unused passkeys can just be ignored.
In order to earn bonus points, you must complete at least 10 qualified WUs using a specific name and a specific passkey so if that's important to you, it's important to make a choice and stick with it.

Are you sure you got the team id (
183368) right when you reconfigured your username and passkey with your desired choice?

I checked your team on a third-party stats site and the name ASUS_Republic_Of_Gamers was credited with the one WU it did back in December, so it wasn't you; moreover, if you requested a passkey with that name in all caps, it would've showed up in all caps, as usernames are very much case sensitive. You should check the log file to see if you've actually completed a WU yet.

Okay - I am thoroughly embarassed and a complete goof - I apologize. 99% of all computer problems are the nut behind the keyboard.
Someone said that no stats would showup until I did something. When I saw something under ASUS_REPUBLIC_OF_GAMERS which I erroneously used for a DONOR name with my first passkey request, I thought that was my doing, but apparently, it's not. Now that I submitted a completed item, results now show up under the correct user name, dbdbdb. I was confused. Grandpa_01 - you weren't supposed to see me over here having problems - I already had those in the team forum
.
Thank you everyone, and sorry I wasted your time - as was told, explained, and pre-indicated, everything is working as it should.
Onto the folding.
