I completed "Project: 6900 (Run 7, Clone 0, Gen 10)" and when the client was trying to upload the data, the logfile states "[21:23:47] - Server reports problem with unit."

Here's the end of the logfile:

Something very strange is going on with project 6900. I need to check with the project owner.

I backed the files up for safe keeping and I started folding another 6900 WU. If there is a way to send in the WU that I processed other than through the client, please let me know and I'll send it along.

The client is the only way to return the WU.

The message "server reports a problem with unit" generally means that the WU is corrupt or has expired and in either case, there's nothing you can do to convince the server to accept it.

The "very strange" comment that I made refers is about the data in the Mod DataBase and there's very little chance that I'm going to be able to tell you anything about the WU. Nevertheless, I'll mark this topic for followup and I'll change the title to conform to the recommended format.

Well, since it won't upload using the client, it looks like I may as well delete the backup files then.

Sorry about the format. This thread was my first time posting on this form. I'll follow the format in the future. I assume that the points for that WU are lost as well?

Thanks for your help!

No problem about the title ....

Yes, unless the client can upload the results to the server, there will be no credit in the stats.

Any tips/tricks on how to do this?

I have another PC that hasn't done any folding. The WU completed on a Linux PC (that is currently folding another bigadv WU, it's my dedicated folding system) and my other PC has Windows 7. Can I install the client on the Windows 7 PC, copy the WU information into the folder and try the "-send all" flag again? Or am I going to run into issues because of different OS, clients, etc?

It's hightly unlikely that a Linux > Windows transfer would work. Even if it did, the WU would still be unacceptable to the server for the very same reason.

OK, thank you for the info. I'll just delete out the files then since I won't be able to try uploading them until after the expiration date. :(

Following the timeout of your assignment, the WU was reassigned and it was completed successfully.
WU (P6900 R7 C0 G10) was added to the stats database on 2011-07-14 18:09:13 for 65908.8 points of credit.

I conclude that the WU was somehow corrupted while running on your system and the server rejected it for cause -- though I have no way of knowing what happened.
