Hello,

I just had a bigadv WU complete a couple hours ago, and I wasn't credited bonus points for it.
http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/ ... =&u=558322

It was well within the deadline of the 18th, I tried posting a screenshot, but the system won't let me.

The screenshot can be seen here:
http://overclock.net/overclock-net-fold ... dited.html

[20:25:05] SMP Client completed a WU successfully
[20:25:06] Deleted WU on SMP
[20:25:06] Starting SMP
[20:25:06] Started new WU on SMP

Mod Edit: Changed Thread Title - PantherX

I think I know what happened.

I had a previous bigadv WU running that was at 50%, and because my system was low on memory, it ended up starting over back at 0.

I was under the impression that a NEW WU had started. So by the time it completed it was already past the deadline.

I don't want to waste your time looking into this, but if you can confirm that's what happened, I'll know for next time.

Welcome to the foldingforum.org, 2010rig.

That makes sense. You probably mean Project: 6900 (Run 40, Clone 15, Gen 1)

According to the server logs, it took 4.51 days from the time it was first downloaded until it was finally uploaded. You'll probably want to check the logs for those same time periods. Stats times are in Pacific Time. PDT=UTC-7

Entered into logs at: 2011-06-17 18:05:13
WU assigned to donor at: 2011-06-13 05:52:57
Days taken to complete WU: 4.51

Hi 2010rig (team 37726),
Your WU (P6900 R40 C15 G1) was added to the stats database on 2011-06-17 18:08:02 for 8955 points of credit.

Thanks for confirming this Bruce.

I was wondering why there was no mention of the WU failing and starting a new one in my logs.

I have fixed my memory issue by making my pagefile 6GB.

I will start another bigadv tomorrow. :)

My log at:
FAH_GPU_Tracker_V2\FAH GPU Tracker V2\LOG.txt

This log doesn't have any dates.

Is there another log?

I remember when it happened nothing got recorded in this log.

for example, if my GPU fails and starts over, I see:

[08:34:54] GPU 0 failed to complete a project 6806 WU (UNSTABLE_MACHINE)
[08:34:54] Deleted WU on GPU0
[08:34:54] Starting GPU 0
[08:34:54] Started new WU on GPU0

When this happened nothing got recorded in the Log. It just reset back to 0% and started over.

I assumed it was a new WU, but now I know the original just started over.

I was confused because see my screenshot:

The deadline on here says June 18.

So the 3 day return deadline still applies to Bigadv? The v7 client does not show any date between begin and End = 6 days.

Even my Dual Quad (8 /16 with HT) core Xeon server machine (which I cannot OC) is taking longer than 3 days on most of these now............

Some servers provide deadline information to V7 and some do not. Eventually they'll all be updated.

The best source of deadline information is found at http://fah-web.stanford.edu/psummary.html and for 6900, the deadlines are 4.00 and 6.00 days. I don't know where you came up with 3.0.
