My four systems (all Windows 7) are attempting to download core 6a and have for the past several days been getting core download errors. I have occasionally had problems getting WUs over connections from the UAE, but even when connecting through a UK VPN which always works, I still get the core download errors.

Please advise.

Which version of the client are you running?
Please post a copy of the applicable portions of the log so we can see what is happening.
(You probably mean you're having trouble getting FahCore_a6.)
