Communication With Team Members - How?

Hi again to anyone familiar with my name. Being a "late adopter" I have just now gotten onto the new forum. I understand that the team threads have been eliminated, apparently due to recruiting, and probably other issues as well. Being "team neutral" must have its advantages. However, our team thread was the only method we had for communicating. Will I now be forever separated from the few, the proud, the far-flung, that is my team?

Yes, recruiting was one problem, but there were other factors. We decided that the team forum detracted from our ability to help people with installation problems, report bugs, fix problems, etc. I'm not unsympathetic about the need to contact other team members, but somebody else needs to fill that need.

Thanks, anyway. Other than this problem I like the new forum. It's cleaner and seems better organized. Kudos to all involved. I just wonder where I'm going to get my Viagra from now on . . . 8-)

PM them once, get their email address, and then no problems communicating with your team via email.

Oh, thank you. But to begin with, in order to PM someone I need a user name.

Now, before lots of other people spend time trying to help (as this forum's users so wonderfully do) or to figure out what the heck I'm talking about, here's the deal. We were/are an odd little team. Not all members register on the forum. Not all those who do use the same username here as on the team stats pages. Some are very private. So, for us the old team thread was: 1) A place for a general welcome to new Team XOXOX members who found their way here. 2) A place for interested members to be proactive and say, basically, "Here I am, and here's how to contact me." 3) A way for members to communicate (usually via PM rather than post) easily - and rather anonymously - without personal email addresses, etc.

I'm guessing this is not a universal issue. Life will go on, n'est pas? :?

I guess you didnt have a team forum or website.

Not sure how you can work out who was on your team before the forum died.

Its a pity there isnt a website where you can find teams and details from. A simple form and captcha would suffice i guess, but not for me to think of. Maybe you could write something.

Why not use a simple sig like the one i use. But no graphics as it eats up bandwidth and slows everything down.

Good call. Couldn't hurt.
