Hi,

This one failed to get going and kept looping a good hundred times before I noticed and reset it:

This was on a GTX 460 that does run quite warm since I broke the fan, but it has run a few hundred WUs without problem and is now running a new unit OK.

Thanks

No data in the WU Database yet. Have marked it for a follow-up.

I notice that you've used -forcegpu nvidia_fermi. That shouldn't be required for Client Version 6.40r1. Doesn't it detect your hardware correctly without it?

No, I still need the -forcegpu flag - I don't think wine supports the same driver / device detection as native windows so I get the "at present your GPU is not supported ..." message otherwise.

I also took the opportunity to drop in the latest 6.41r2 executable and still the same.

That's correct -- you must use the -forcegpu flag with Wine.

I picked up this exact same WU and it is giving me the same log that is posted above. It got picked up by one of my GTS 450's that has run hundreds of WU's without issue with temps in the high 50's/ low 60's.

I marked the WU as bad.

I can't seem to shake this WU. It keeps coming back over and over again. I keep deleting it and have gone as far as deleting everything associated with F@H but once I reinstall, my GTS 450 keeps getting it. The GTX 460 gets other work just fine in the same system and my GTS 450 in another rig is not having this problem either.

Any thoughts?

You have to change the client's Machine ID to get a different assignment from the server before the current assignment times out. (5 days)
