Stats for active and inactive users?

Couldn't find the best place to post this so decided here might be ok...

I have been folding for a while, with various gaps, and was generally procrastinating this past week and looking through all the teams stats etc, wondering how long it was going to take me to get on the bottom of the team board. Today it struck me, I am not going to get on the team board, or at least it is going to take me a very long while, due to the fact that everyone with a bigger score/higher rank than me (that I can see from looking at the board, who knows past that) are inactive for what ever reason.

Now, I know its not about the stats, but about the research etc. but it would be nice to see my name on the team board! I equally know I might have had a shot had I not myself been inactive here and there over the years... Anyway, my point is this:

Can we have a way of having the team boards rankings so that current active members appear and those that are inactive are not on the same board? Perhaps 2 categories are needed? Active team and inactive team (or even combined so just all time rankings - like now), just think it would help add that little incentive for those either new or just active to F@H!

The inactive could be set so that if there is no activity within a set time span then that person is no longer classed as active but as soon as they do become active again then they are on the correct board?
You already have the date of the last WU on the stats so this shouldn't be a massive thing? Or maybe there is more to it that I don't know about.

Anyway, better go and do some RL things, a watched protein and all that...

The Legacy Points situation is interesting IMO. If points total are the carrots that drive the mules, then the mules out to pasture are better than the ones working the plow.

However, if you go to http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/team_list.php?s= you'll see the Top Producers for your team. This eliminates the legacy issue.

Kakaostats.com reports the users on the team and has an Active filter up top so you can also see where you are.

And if you want to start your team, it will currently take a total of ~3.7 million to make the Top 1200 on Extreme Overclockers list, which gets you the EOC FAH User Sig should you want to use it.

Even with the legacy folders having run up very large totals in the past, someone that is just joining today actually has a better shot of climbing up the stats much faster.

Todays' quad and hex cores and GPUs perform 100 and a 1000 times faster than CPUs and GPUs from just a few years ago. So while it looks like a much higher climb to make it up there, you're also taking much larger steps up with each WU.
