I went on vacation and turned my machine off, now FAH won't run. Maybe it's the WU? I was folding for several weeks no problem. GTX 460, 258.59 driver, win 7 64, i7 940. GPU OCed but was very stable. I tried reinstall, no different.

You may want to look elsewhere. Someone else completed that WU successfully and received full credit.

Hopefully, you didn't run temps too high with the OC'ing. An OC is logically the first thing to suspect when you have trouble folding. Good luck.

I've completely reinstalled FAH. It still tries to run this same WU and fails. I ran hundreds of WU on this machine while overclocked. memtestCL runs without error. I have all the Windows updates (as of last week). Maybe installing the Win updates caused a new problem? Or some interaction between WU and other s/w, h/w??? Did the other guy who ran this WU run core15? Win 7 64? GTX 460? 258.59 driver? If my machine truly became unstable then why doesn't memtestCL detect it? I would like to donate to FAH but I can't until this is fixed.

I have really told you all I can in terms of the WU itself and that is really what this forum is about.

I wish you the best in fixing this, but I can't help with a GPU as I have never folded with one.

You have been assigned 10 times the same WU. A "normal" assign would be 6 times for GPU WUs then your Client moves on.

Sortofageek, I am ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY certain that this WU is bad or at least partially to blame for my trouble. It now loaded a different WU and it is running no problem. I've run hundreds of other WUs without any problem. I didn't change anything on my machine since this morning and now it works. Apparently you can't assume that one successful run means a WU is "golden". Maybe the WU was working and then it became corrupted?

PantherX, yes it was a bad WU. It's finally running now after 2 days of trying to run the same bad WU. Thanks. Sortofageek said someone else ran it and got full credit.

jesse did you do a proper upgrade to fermi? Could it be that you treid to fold this wu with an old fahcore_15? Old meaning, a fahcore which was supposed to run on pre fermi cards?

Could be the same with saleen?

A wu with the same prcg are identical, it can not get corrupted ( maybe during transfer but the client checks this and downloads it again if needed ).

It looks like both you and Saleen have a configuration problem, and it is not the work units fault.

I thought they were to discontinue issuing 10632's until they figured out the problem of them keep being reissued after successful completions. It took 4 runs for (R91, C102, G 16) to complete on me
