Name change?

Name change?
I will be folding for 2 diff teams. I signed up on second team as Hardass, it keeps reverting my name to hardass lower case which I do not want. How do I get this fixed?
Re: Name change?
This is not possible. There is nothing in the FAH client what is changing the username/team. Check the client.cfg.
Re: Name change?
Client cfg has Hardass
When program started it showed Hardass, Team 32. But all results go to hardass, team 32.

Re: Name change?
Wow.
Indeed, it looks like FAH is not case-sensitive:

vs

Re: Name change?
I had accidently set up a client to use my name as lowercase, but the results all show under Zanth. You can have different clients submit to different teams, it will show your points in three categories then: 1) all your combined, 2) your points with team A, 3) your points with Team B.

This should show you what i mean.

Re: Name change?
I guess it is the extremeoverclocking stats page showing lower case.

Re: Name change?
Right so how can it show 2 names, same team, same stats?Ren02 wrote:Wow.

Re: Name change?
The stats tracking by Stanford is case insensitive for your total scores. I.e. you could search for hArDaSs and it would still return the same results.
The certificates though are case sensitive for some reason, even though the main stats are not. This means currently if you look at your certificate for Hardass and hardass they both show (different) values since you've obviously used both cases at some point. Users who only ever use 1 case form will have certificates that read zero if they access it with the wrong case.
Example:
Certificate for Uncle_Fungus http://fah-web.stanford.edu/awards/cert ... cle_Fungus
This is the username I enter into all my clients.
Certificate for uncle_fungus http://fah-web.stanford.edu/awards/cert ... cle_fungus
This username has never been entered, hence 0 points.
3rd party stats sites like EOC track stats with case insensitivity and whichever form was in the database first is the one that sticks.
Hopefully that will help explain things.

Re: Name change?
It does Thank you.
FAH split my teammate in two. [Not Really!]
Help please!
My teammate, Hardass, (who has always been Hardass), now shows up with a duplicate folding name of hardass.
Same stats, same teams, same guy.
Can we kill the lower case version of Hardass, and let him fold in peace?
Thanks a lot.
He currently is folding for Team 32.

Re: FAH split my teammate in two! :)
Hardass already posted about this issue yesterday.

No, once the stats are posted, no changes will be made.Adak wrote:Can we kill the lower case version of Hardass, and let him fold in peace?
