back to folding, low ppd?

Post by payton »

I just got back into folding and installed the new 6.30 smp on my windows 7, anthlon X2 6000+ windsor, 4gb ram computer and am only getting ~300 ppd. I seem to remember getting 1000+ with this same computer last summer. can anyone tell me what has changed, or is this what I should expect from my cpu?

thanks,
Payton

There is a bonus point system and you need to have a passkey. To qualify for the bonus points, you need to complete 10 WU's. Once you start to get the bonus points, you may be above or below where you were. You can use the hfm.net monitor to see what you will get with the bonus points; something FAHMon cannot.

Also, you must use the -smp switch (you can put it in the Advanced Settings portion of the Configuration), or the client will request and process a single-core WU.
