0% GPU Usage, 0 PPD

I have been trying to uninstall and reinstall latest drivers, then older drivers, the f@h program, over and over and over for over a month now and my 2nd folding machine refuses to fold the way it used to. when the F@H program is running my 2nd folding machine with gts 250 the temp is at 35C....when folding and the fans kicked up using EVGA precision on my 1st folding machine it runs 60c and actually folds. I have tried to swap cards and got the same results.
What do I need to do to get my machine folding again?
Amd regor 245,2gb ddr 2 dual channel, MSI twin frozr gts 250,500w liberty power supply... this thing used to rock but ever since the "server issue" its never been the same.
current drivers are 197.13 I have also tried the cuda drivers with no success.
please help!

So swapping the 250s results in the working machine not working?
What does the log show?

when i swap video cards there is no change...the 1st machine will fold fine...the 2nd machine will continue to do nearly nothing. Im not sure what to look for on the log file...I can copy and paste the past few days.

Are you starting one with -gpu 0 and the second with -gpu 1?
The other command line argument that may help is -forcegpu nvidia_g80 used on both clients.
You can add this to your shortcut command line or by starting the clients with -configonly or -config and adding the option to the additional parameters field or if using the systray a right click on the systray icon will lead you to the configuration section where you can add the options.
p.s. the logs you show are not for a GPU client, they are for a CPU client.

Welcome to the Forum Esuich
The log that you have posted is of CPU Uniprocessor 6.23 Systray Edition and the according to the log, you have sucessfully completed and uploaded 3 WUs. Your first post states that you have a problem with the GPU so you have to post the GPU Client log. Also in your second post you mentioned that swapping the GPUs has no effect on the second system. This could mean that the PSU is not delivering enough power to the GPU as it may be damaged or something. If by switching the PSU, you still can't fold, it could be possible that the PCI-E lane in the motherboard is damaged. If there is another PCI-E lane, use it and see if it solves the problem.
Hope this helps you.

Yes, I was also wondering about your 500W PSU. The Minimum Recommended System Power is 450W when using just one gts250.
http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_ge ... 50_us.html
So running two on a 500W could be a problem.

I guess the GPU would work better if you used the GPU client ...

Did I download the wrong software? sorry but I dont know what a "GPU client" is
Im not sure how to change settings can someone please guide me ..thanks.

1- Visit this URL (
http://folding.stanford.edu/English/DownloadWinOther).
2- Under High Performance Clients, Download the second one. (the first is for ATI so it won't work with your Nvidia 250GTS).
3- Install the latest Nvidia Driver and then install the GPU Client that you downloaded.
4- Run the GPU Client.
5- Wait for few minutes.
6- Right click the GPU F@H Icon in the taskbar -> Status -> Log File.
7- A text file will open in Notepad.
8- Copy everything and paste it here using the code tag
9- If everything went fine, the F@H Log won't have any errors otherwise if it does, hopefully we can help you.
BTW the server issue was resolved for the Nvidia GPU and so far I haven't come cross any problems. The only "problem" is that the uniprocessor client of mine takes couple of attempts (around 5) to get a WU and according to the F@H Blog, they are aware of it and are working on new projects so that in the future, there won't be any WU shortages.
