Forum down?

I was knocked out of the forum approximately 1815 GMT -5. Did it go down? I found it again about 10 minutes later.

I was having trouble connecting for awhile there, too. The frightening part was that it mentioned DB problems, but all seems well now. :)

Forum was unreachable (tried several PCs connected to differnt ISPs) for at least 40 minutes around 7am CET.

ok, we'll keep an eye on this and see if we need to do something more drastic (eg change hosting companies), but obviously we'd like to work with our current one first before doing anything that major.

I'm getting the following trying to access the Forum :-

phpBB : Critical Error

Could not connect to the database

After many attempts finally got through.

Hmm, I've never had any of these errors. Unfortunately I can't check the server load to see if we're putting strain on it.

MacLife forums often had the SQL overload. So they switched to some other software.
