I have folded over 400 84 point p46xx core 82 WUs.
Starting last week or so, they are now all scorring 85 points !!!

is this normal ?

P.S. I am not complaining, I am just making an observation and asking a question.

Since you didn't actually specify actual projects rather a range of projects, here's the list and you can check yourself.: Project summery.

P.S. yes it is possible that it is normal, but there are also projects that should not be giving 85 points in that range.

I dont need to list them all (BTW, they are all listed at 84.70 points).
Up to one or two weeks ago, when you folded one of them (any of them) it got rounded downwards to 84 points (like I said I folded about 400 of them).
Now, if you fold one, it gets rouded up to 85 points.

All I am doing is point to a change of behaviour that occured in the past few days and asking if this is normal ? Should we expect it on other projects (or series of projects) ? Has the rounding mechanism changed ?

Maybe.

A long time back, points used to be single precision float data and fractional points were important. This worked until somebody earned enough total points that their score could not maintain precision in the units digit. Then it got changed to more bits of precision. (I don't remember which precision.)

Much of server code is being rewritten from the ground up. Something like that might easily change without any notice, just because it's the right thing to do. On the other hand undetected bugs can be introduced like the ones we have been seeing recently and a lot of effort can go into fixing them as quickly as possible.

Are you reporting a bug that needs the attention of the Pande Group, or can we call this a cosmetic change that's not important enough to matter?

I dont know, probably not, It's not up to me de decide. It's a change in behaviour that was not previously mentioned.

OK. Thank you for mentioning this improvement. As far as I know you're the only one who noticed.
