Did two of these new core_b4 work units, the first completed at 100% no problems. The second completed at 52%. Is that normal? Using Folding@Home Client Version 6.02 on a AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2600+

With the Protomol core, in projects using NML, some WU are expected to finish early, which is not considered as an error.
You'll get partial credit for the percentage of work done.
Full credit for the one that went to 100% :

(plz, correct me if I'm wrong) That's the way EUE shows with the protomol (b4) core. Is it official? In case my guess is right, that would be unwelcome -- tracking EUE becomes more complicated.

I don't know how this part of the Protomol science code works ... but Joe said that this behavior is expected on projects that use NML. That's the reason why they show a FINISHED_UNIT status instead of an EUE.

If a WU runs for X1 hours on a benchmark machine and it's assigned Y points for a successful completion, how many points should be assigned if it it successfully completes in only X2 hours on that same hardware, where X2<X1?

Getting only partial credit for a WU that completes at 52% make perfect sense to me. Why should full credit be given for 52% work completed Sort of like getting paid a full days wage for a half days work.
