Here's an article I came across that describes how a virus upon infecting a cell emits actins by two proteins to prevent the infection by another virus particle. They want to modify the proteins so that it will slow down the rate of infection - I think. But, I would think the better method would be is to have a cell infected by a vaccine which has been genetically modified to enhance this actin technique to prevent all virus types from infecting the cell: a generic cureall vaccine against all virus'. I presume this would mean various actin types/configurations would need to be programmed into the vaccine tailored for a given virus type or family instead of just one super actin type. :egeek:
