Folding Forum

Sorry to bother you all. My father passed away last night after a year long fight with stomach cancer... I just wonder if anyone here can give me date of my first submitted WU as we prepared and installed that PC together (we made our own water cooling setup so CPU could o/c higher).

Also:
I want to start folding on my main rig again but I want to help with curing cancer, so I don't care about points, I care about proteins that are most helpful for medicine. So should I fold on my CPU or my GPU? (I have 8800GT 512MB)

Welcome to the forums; sorry about your father

If you go on http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com and search for your username, if you're high enough to be ranked on there it will show the date of your first contribution (I think - it certainly does for me). If you're not on their database, keep checking back when you're contributing new units and eventually you should appear on their database. It's a big one so it shouldn't take long for that to happen if it hasn't already.

As for restarting, fold on both all units are equally important so contributions on either are equally helpful.

EDIT: searching for your forum username brought up this. If that's you, it was 1/1/2004.

Unfortunately, my first record on EOC is also 1/1/2004, which is probably when they started their stats system ... which means that the first contribution is older than that ... and I don't know if there's a way to find the exact date
