i use Vista and F@H version 6.23

The display capabilities in the clients (other than PS3) are very buggy. It is strongly suggested that you don't use that feature, even if it works because it uses a lot of horsepower that could otherwise be used for folding.

Um, ya, this was reported about 2 years ago. Good luck with that.

Come on Zim, he's just doing his job!
We should strongly encourage that considering he's only posted 8 times (and two of those today) since Feb 23'rd i.e. almost 9 months!

How do you know it's a "he" ?
I'm not one to criticize without posting suggestions either... if one or more people are staffing a help desk forum position, then they should post more than once a month on average.
They should sign their initials to the bottom of each post so they can remain anonymous if they like, but still have some ownership of the problem.
And instead of saying it will be forwarded to the relevant PG member, TELL US who that member is. Otherwise how do we know you really did pass it along?
Some feedback to close the loop would be good... like what did that relevant PG member say when you told them of the problem?
It might was well be a BOT automatically posting that same message every few days... Customer service doesn't need to be perfect, but making it personal and direct sure does help when the prior is lacking.
P.S. Sorry to hijack the thread, but this needed to be said.
EDIT: to chill the content some

Well, I'm sorry but I have to disagree: It was me that hijacked the thread with my comment.
Another thing I must disagree with is the concept of telling us who the member responsible is. The whole point of having this position is to insulate that person from the general public so that he/she is not inundated by so many public comments so as not to be able to do his/her job of fixing the problem. Let the help desk deal with the public and the fixer fix.
The problem is that if there have only been 8 posts, the help desk person isn't doing much of a job dealing with the public! I can easily see this topic alone potentially generating 8 posts for me and I'm not getting paid for it.
I have no idea if the help desk person is one person or more; male or female; human, monkey, or bot. If more than one, it is even worse that there have only been 8 posts. I suspect it is only one and then the point signing their initials is rather moot.
I will agree that a bit more than a canned response would be good thing. Two-way Feedback and accountability are good things. See, I don't have to be contrary, but it certainly is more fun.

Knowing Academia, the help desk person probably isn't getting paid either.
But to the OP, don't fret about not being able to see the pretty images of the protein folding.... It wont be long until you're sitting watching your FAHmon/whatever-parser-you-use and waiting feverishly for the next EOC/hardfolding/Kakaostats update

Ahh Yes - the first sign of folding addition, soon followed by prolonged bouts of perusing the web looking for more cheap hardware to fold on
@OP as everyone says, the structure is just a resource hog that is likely to crash your computer. Whilst I fully agree that it would be nice to see what we are folding, a fix is low priority at the moment as they are doing a lot of work on new cores for the various clients. Hopefully one day we will have a structure to look at

It might was well be a BOT automatically posting that same message every few days for all the good it does.
Wait, you mean its not a BOT?
I wouldn't be too sure. What I noticed is that they appeared on threads that didn't have any response for a very long time. IE. there was a time out limit for no response so it switched over to the "Your call is very important to us" response.
Perhaps I'm just paranoid.
