Hello everyone,

I am relatively new to folding. I just started about a week or two ago. I am running several old p4 machines and a couple more powerful multi-core machines. I have left all of my machines on 24/7 contributing points to my username "mrfrankmrfrank". I was happy when the other night I broke into the top 100,000 contributors with roughly a score of 55,000 points. This was my first goal.

I've known since I started that I eventually wanted to create a team. After much thought, I finally came up with a team name and registered it. I then also thought it would be a good idea to create a passkey for my account.

I registered my team name, and got my passkey, then proceeded to update all of my clients with the team and passkey information.

After looking over my team stats page located here....... (remove spaces from the web address) h t t p://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/main.p ... num=172800 I noticed that when I click on my name under donors under team members, it takes me to a stats page for the user "mrfrankmrfrank" that seems to be a fresh user account and does not reflect all of my contributions thus far.

Is the reason for this simply because I did not attach a team to my account from the start? Is it for this reason that the roughly 60,000 points that I contributed already under the same username will no longer be updated? Am I starting over because I created a team? This doesn't make sense to me since I always see people saying, "join my team, join my team." Certainly people don't join teams and start over on their contributed points!

I am not sure if the links are going to work. I just registered to this forum and the forum requires me to be a user for more than a day and have one "real post" to prove I am not spam. Please let me know if anyone cannot look at the pages I provided or cannot look up what I mean.

Also to prove my point of split/dual usernames, if you simply go to folding@home's website, click stats, donor stats, and then search name is exactly "mrfrankmrfrank" you will get two results, one for the default team number and then one for my new team. If this is supposed to happen, I guess it doesn't make sense to me.

Yes, this is normal. I have the same type of listing on my stats, where one entry is for team 0 and one entry for my current team. However, there is also a summary at the top of the page that gives the total combined points and ranking. Just look at the top summary to see your overall rank is still in the top 100,000.

i see that now, thanks for the help. i was a bit panicked but its not even what's important. just contributing is what is important. Thanks for the help

oh, you know what it is, i just realized it too. The "overall rank" if points are combined, wasn't there when I was looking earlier. I know for a fact when I clicked on each version of mrfrankmrfrank, it was showing two separate scores. Now when I click on both, the pages, with the exception of the team number are identical. I guess I hadn't given the stats enough time to reflect my added team number.

although, when I click on my username from the team's stats page, the stats page it takes me to for that mrfrankmrfrank doesn't show a "when points are combined" it just shows a mrfrankmrfrank with a rank of 1.2 million or something.

maybe that page hasn't updated yet?

Yha, when you select your name via the team page, it'll only show the stats associated to that user on the team.. Where as selecting the user gives all stats for all teams.
