I got this WU on one of my Linux machines. I can't remember this box ever having an error in over two years of 24/7 smp folding.
Here's the log:
The client proceeded to download the same WU again, and it failed with the same result, so I waited awhile until the client got a different WU.
EDIT: Just saw this, looks like the same problem Flathead had last month. I checked my console as well, and had the same chatty console gibberish about memory allocation:
